This week I am reading Water For Elephants. I already talked about it last week in my blog so I will keep the summary short. A guy hopped onto a circus train and ended up working in the circus. It is a really good book so far. I am not done yet but I am enjoying it.
My favorite character would be Katniss from The Hunger Games. She is my favorite character because she was brave and strong during the Hunger Games. She is the type of girl who stands out because she doesn't try to win for herself she trys to win for her family. She is a really great person. She could have gotten killed many times during the book but she didn't and ended up winning.
My least favorite character comes from the book The Outsiders. Bob was a Socs. He was very mean and he did mean things to the Greasers. He is not a nice character and thats why I don't like him. I dont like mean people. He hurt the Greasers and he got pay back and I am glad he did.
I hope you enjoyed my blogger this week. Any questions?

This week I am reading Water For Elephants by Sara Gruen. I am only on page 30 so I don't know many characters. This book is about a man, Jacob, and he tells about his life. He describes his life as a circus worker. This is a very good book. I don't want to put it down. I don't reccomend this book to everyone because it is inapropriate in some parts.
If there was a film for my book I would have George Clooney as the main character, Jacob, because he is an older man who is humorous. For one of the nurses in the book I would have Kelly Ripa play the nurse because she seems like a good caring nurse type of person. Jacob was in a nursing home when he was old and there was a guy that lived there too. I would have Robert De Niro play him because he looks older and he can play that part really well. There is also Jacob's dean for his college. His dean seems really strict but caring at the same time. I would have Brad Garret play him because he is a mean looking guy but I am sure can be caring sometimes too.
That's all for this week! I am excieted to finish my new book soon!

I am reading Witness by Kareb Hesse. It is informational. I am enjoying this book because it is written different than any other book I've read. A bunch of different people write things in this book but they all end up telling a story. It is weird but good.
Four songs that remind me of this book or represent this book are:
1. Lean On Me by Bill Withers because the black girl in the story has no one to turn to due to racism.
2. Mean Girls by Sugarland because the white kids are really mean to the black girl.
3. You've Got A Friend by James Taylor is the complete opposite of this book because Lenora, the black girl, doesn't have any friends.
4. Forget You by Cee Lo Green because she doesn;t appriciate the way she is being treated and she wants to forget that they are there.

I finished reading American Born Chinese by Gene Luen Yang. I just started reading the book called Witnesss by Karen Hesse. I am not a big fan of comics and American Born Chinese is written in all comics. It was hard to read and understand because it was written in comics. I didn't like it personally. I would reccomend it but only if you like comic books.
American Born Chinese was about a boy named Jin Wang. He is a chinese boy living in America and he is the only chinese boy around. When he starts his new school it is hard for him to fit in.
If I was Jin I would be scared and insecure if I was the only chinese person in my school. That would be really hard to do in today's world because people are so mean. I wouldn't want to be different from everyone else.
If I could be any character in my book I would be Jin. Some questions I would ask him are:
1. Is it hard being the only Chinese person in your school?
2. Do you enjoy America?
3. Do you have many friends?
4. Do you think your cousin is annoying?
5. Why did you move to America in the first place?

This week I read The Sotry Of Florence Nightingale. It was an easy read. It's a biography. The story was about a girl names Florence and she wants to make a difference in her society. She is a wealthy girl and isn't supposed to interact with the lowerclass people. She wants to become a doctor and her parents think it's improper for her to interact with the sick people.
Florence realized that nursing was more than holding a sick persons hand. She knew it required knowledge and training. Florence had a lot of confidence to go against her parents rules. I think she did the right thing because she knew she could be a better person by helping out the sick people. Florence is a brave girl. Most of the doctors were men. Although she knew that she was going to be one of the few women doctors she still went on.
During the Crimean War, Florence got a group of nurses to go nurse on the battlefield. Her team or women were honored for their work on the battlefield. Florence is now known for her bravery to care for the indured soldiers during the war.
I reccomend this book to anyone because it is really short and it is a good book. I don't know exactly how many books I have read. It's thirty something thought. I don't need any reccomendations on books at this time.
